The Glueocyte (or Fimbriocyte in the upcoming PC version) is a basic low consumption cell type unlocked after completing 21: Floaters.
Description[]
The Glueocyte is a cell with long hair-like extensions surrounding it's body. It has the ability to connect (i.e. make an adhesin connection) to other non-protected cells and the substrate wall.
The Glueocyte can only connect to other cells if it is not already connected to 5 or more cells.
While the Glueocyte can connect to the substrate wall, this connection will not be kept if the Glueocyte splits.
Alternative uses[]
If you set the nutrient priority of a Glueocyte to maximum it will behave like a Devorocyte and consume the attached cell, especially if said cell has the "Prioritize" box ticked off.
Trivia[]
- It has 33 long hair-like extensions.
- Even though it is infected with a virocyte, it still doesn't lose its connection. Same as walls.
