The Phagocyte is a basic cell type in Cell Lab. It is earned after completing 1: Algae.

Appearance[]

The Phagocyte is a round circle with a small dot in the center.

Function[]

A Phagocyte has the ability to consume nutrient pieces it touches to make energy. It does so at the rate of 10 ng/h for each nutrient piece. However, it cannot consume coated nutrient pieces; these must first be uncoated with lipase before they can be consumed by a Phagocyte.

Settings[]

Settings common to all cell types:

Note: Settings marked with an asterisk (*) can only be used after completing 26: Slippery Slope.

Make adhesin
Type: Switch
If checked, this cell's children will be linked by adhesin.
Default: No
Prioritize
Type: Switch
If checked, this cell will gain extra nutrient priority when it is dangerously low on mass.
Default: Yes
Cell type
Type: Cell type selection
The type of the cells that are on this mode.
Default: Phagocyte
Initial
Type: Switch
Whether or not this mode will be the one placed on the substrate.

Default: Current mode
Keep adhesin
Type: Switch
If checked, child 1 will keep the adhesin connections that the parent already has, assuming it ends up on the side where the connection is.
Default: Yes
Mirror*
Type: Switch
If checked, this cell will be mirrored with respect to its parent.
Default: No

Child 2:

Mode
Type: Mode selection
The mode of child 2.

Usage[]

A cell used for many things, in challlenges. This could be used in smart swimmers, flagellates, floaters, and much more!

Trivia[]

  • It is the "mascot" of the game.
  • It is the second cell type to be unlocked.
